Unusual Wedding Venues: Snow Weddings – Igloo Wedding!!!

Posted on August 25th, 2011 by admin in Uncategorized | No Comments »

Unusual Wedding Venues for today: I have been having a look at Snow Weddings or Igloo Weddings at The Igloo Village in Kakslauttanen in Finland

First of all the look very beautiful with the log fires, starry sky’s, reindeer, sledge’s, glass igloos to sleep in. But then it also looks like it would be god damn freezing, the church where you get married is made of ice, the alter in the church is made of ice, the pews for the guests are made of ICE!! Everything is made of ice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But then It would be nice to be taken on a sledge pulled by Rudolf himself to your wedding icon wink Unusual Wedding Venues: Snow Weddings Igloo Wedding!!!

Then there are the hot tubs, there are hot tubs in the igloos, outside the igloos, in the log cabins, outside the log cabins, so you could probably get married in a hot tub as there seems to be a lot of them.

Seriously though, It could be a very beautiful wedding. But a very expensive wedding, prices are kinda crazy in the fact that you will hardly see any daylight or get any kind of sunshine glow on your skin.

If you like snow, ice, Christmas, Reindeer, and Hot Tubs then this unusual wedding venues for you……….

Unusual Wedding Venues – Cruise Ship Anyone?

Posted on August 24th, 2011 by admin in Unusual Wedding Venues | No Comments »

Unusual Wedding Venues guide has today taken me on the journey of weddings at sea, on a cruise ship.

I’m not a super fan of boats and deep water but I think a cruise could be fun, it is like a big floating hotel and you cant really tell that its moving when you are in it.

Had a look at cruise weddings with P&O cruise ships. One thing I will say is that if you get stressed out organising events, this could be a life saver, they do everything for you.

The post out invites, make the cake, arrange the flowers, play the music, supply champagne, write thank you notes to all the guests, and have on-board photographers, as well as make-up and hair people and wedding dress ironers! the on-board wedding planner can organise any of these thing for you before you even set sail. It all sound like a lot of hard work and if you are anything like me to do all this yourself would have you coming out in hives ( this is what happened to me at my first communion, 1980′s satin dress and itchy hives the size of a tennis ball was not good). The wedding service is conducted by the ships Captain, and there are lots of different venues across the ship to choose from for the wedding, there is an outside area on the deck that can be used and many as well as many halls all over the ship.

Because it is the Captain that conducts the wedding it is a Civil Wedding and the music and readings must not be religious, so that means that you can have Robbie Williams – Angels on repeat if you want or something by Marilyn Manson what ever you want. This could be a bit of a problem for those people out who are religious, but I guess its just the way it is with cruise ship weddings.

All in all it seems like it would be good for the couple who want the meringue wedding but a little bit different and possibly get a bit of a holiday thrown in for the guests and start the honeymoon early, and with with all the prep done for you if you have a busy lifestyle and dont have time to go into bridezilla mode to plan the wedding, the very hard working on-bord Wedding Planner is there to sort it all out for you.

Small Wedding Ideas: Tips on How to Plan a Simple Wedding

Posted on August 16th, 2011 by admin in Small Wedding Ideas | No Comments »

Small Wedding Ideas will suit those who are happy together. To some people, weddings should be extravagant and as big of a celebration as it can be. To others however, weddings may not be as important as the marriage itself. It doesn’t matter if it’s a grandiose celebration or a simple one, as long as you are making your vows with the one you love.

If you are planning the most important day of your life but you’re on a tight budget, or would prefer to have a more private ceremony, this article is for you. The following are some great small wedding ideas to guide you in planning:

·         Invite only your family and closest friends.

As much as you would want the whole world to rejoice on your wedlock, those that you should prioritize are the people that really matter to you. This will not only save you a lot of money, it will also make your wedding more intimate and personal.

·         Make your own invitation.

There are many ways on how you can improvise your wedding invitations. You can buy special paper and have the invitation printed from your own computer. You can also add art to your invitation cards by manually cutting and pasting designs, to make it more creative.

·         Eliminate traditional processions.

You can save up on clothing expenses by eliminating some traditional and formal processions such as inclusion of flower girls, bridesmaids and groomsmen. You may want to limit it to just the maid of honor, the best man, and the ring bearer.

·         Choose a creative yet affordable location.

Perhaps the best way to apply this advice is to find a place that has meaning to the both of you. Examples would be where you first met, your favorite hangout spot, and the like. You can get creative even on a tight budget. You can go for museums, art galleries, or a small garden venue. If your guests are few enough, you can even plan an out of town wedding.

·         Purchase a pre-made wedding dress.

Customized gowns will definitely cost you more. Buying a pre-made gown won’t necessarily sell you off as cheap. There are a lot of affordable but elegant gowns that you can choose from. Just pick the style that suits you the most and you will still look like the most beautiful bride in the world. Same thing applies for the groom.

·         Serve a homemade menu at the reception.

Your mother or grandmother might have a lot of recipes that were handed down from generation to generation in your family tree. Either way, it is always more heartwarming and special when the food is your family’s own. It’s just like those special meals you share with them during Christmas. It’s always a delightful treat.

Weddings don’t always have to be expensive to be special. Sometimes, the simple things in life are the ones that are unforgettable. Make your wedding memorable with some great small wedding ideas such as these.

Unusual Wedding Venues: 5 Exciting Locations to get you Thinking

Posted on August 8th, 2011 by admin in Unusual Wedding Venues | 1 Comment »

Unusual Wedding Venues have been part of the most sacred tradition practiced around the globe for centuries. And even to this day, weddings are considered a symbolic ritual that binds two people in love and commitment. As this special occasion only happens once in a blue moon, who’s to say you cannot make it as special as you want it to be. While most weddings are traditionally done in churches, spiking up the tradition can make your wedding more personal and meaningful.

The venue should be the first thing you should consider when planning this special event. If you are having a hard time figuring out the perfect wedding venue, it might be a good idea to think out of the box. With this in mind, you may want to consider unusual wedding venues: 5 exciting locations to get you thinking.

  1. The Beach

If you are a beach lover, this is the perfect venue for your wedding. A tropical getaway creates a very romantic atmosphere for your vows. With the breathtaking scenery and the smell of palm trees, it is definitely an ideal location for two lovers uniting as one. Make sure to pick a beach location that allows wedding ceremonies.

 2. Hot Air Balloon

Who says weddings can’t be celebrated up in the air? Marrying the person you love should feel like you’re floating in the clouds. And a hot air balloon wedding will definitely make this feeling literal. This is perfect for those who enjoy breathtaking views from up the sky. You may want to scout for hot air balloon companies that provide these services.

 3. Mountain Top

Weddings don’t always have to be formal and stiff. If you and your fiancé are extreme sport enthusiasts, marrying on a mountaintop can be the most romantic venue for you. This is especially ideal for those who love nature and hiking. You may want to scout for mountain inns that can take care of this service for you.

 4. Castle

Fairy tales do come true in real life, especially if you’re about to spend a happy-ever-after with your princess or prince charming. Castle weddings symbolize a dream come true marriage. Ancient castle structures in Europe would be a good place for tying the knot.

 5. Underwater

Let the beauty of the deep ocean shower your marriage with coral reefs and beautiful sea creatures. Divers will surely love this venue. Spending the most important day of your lives under the sea will definitely make your wedding memorable. And if you happen to love Spongebob, this might just be your very own “bikini bottom” wedding.

Marriage is a sacred bond that unites two whole individuals as one entity. And the perfect wedding need not be dictated by society, but rather, how and where you want it to be; as long as it holds dear and meaningful. It can be where you first met or where you first kissed; what matters is that you have the best wedding that you’ve always dreamed of. Let these suggestions be your guide on unusual wedding venues: 5 exciting locations to get you thinking.

Beach Wedding Locations: 5 Fantastic Beach Wedding Venues

Posted on July 25th, 2011 by admin in Beach Wedding Locations, Unusual Wedding Venues | 6 Comments »

Beach wedding locations are great. Nowadays, weddings are becoming more and more avant-garde. Most couples prefer venues that have romantic scenic views. Perhaps one of the most popular modern venues for tying the knot is the beach. The breathtaking scenery of the ocean is always a classic symbolism of love and romance.

If you happen to have chosen the beach as your preferred venue, you might want to consider these suggestions on beach wedding locations: 5 fantastic beach wedding venues.

  1. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

The city is found at Baja California peninsula’s southern tip. The place is a popular tourist destination, especially among Americans because of its proximity to the country. It is popular for sandy beaches, marine life, as well as scuba diving locations. The attractions of Cabo San Lucas have earned it one of the top wedding spots.

  1. Maya bay, Thailand

If you’ve seen the movie “The Beach”, this is where it was filmed. It is the main tourist attraction of the Phi Phi Islands, which is located between the large island of Phuket and the western Andaman Sea. Its majestic, isolated archipelago makes it a romantic spot for tying the knot. The bay is surrounded by 100-metre high cliffs, and inside are several beaches. Its seemingly hidden attractions make it ideal for a getaway wedding. As was said in the movie, “Trust me, it’s paradise”.

  1. Palawan, Philippines

The Philippines is comprised of more than 7,000 islands. You can just imagine how many beaches can be found here. The most popular tropical island in the country is Palawan. It is located between South China Sea and the Sulu Sea. Its sugar-white sandy beaches make it perfect for a romantic wedding. Palawan itself has over 1,000 islands surrounding it, which is ideal for those who prefer a more solemn and private island wedding. El Nido, Coron and Puerto Princesa are three of the most recommended wedding spots in this beautiful island.

  1. Makena Cove, Maui, Hawaii

If you’re looking for the ideal luau wedding, Hawaii is the place for you. As Hawaii is made up of islands, there are many beaches you can choose from. Makena Cove is one of the most recognizable vacation spots because of its white-sand beach with black lava rocks, and turquoise-colored ocean. It is a photographer’s dream, and a haven for marrying couples.

  1. Nusa Dua Beach, Bali, Indonesia

Bali is home to beaches with powder-white sand and hidden, undisturbed island coves. There are many Bali luxury villas that provide wedding and honeymoon services, whether in a private beach, on a high cliff, or in verdant rice field paddies. Nusa Dua is known for providing wedding venues in several resorts and hotels. From a tropical garden to a wedding chapel surrounded by the ocean water, it will definitely make you and your lover say, “I do”.

Entering a sacred vow in marriage is a union of two souls. In ancient mythology, it is believed that the sky and the sea symbolize an eternal couple. And in psychology, how you envision the scene represents your ideal relationship. With this in mind, there is no doubt that a beach wedding will guarantee a moment that will last forever. Hence, it is best to consider these suggestions on beach wedding locations: 5 fantastic beach wedding venues.

Unusual Wedding Venues – Get Married Texas Ranch Style

Posted on July 21st, 2011 by admin in Unusual Wedding Venues | 2 Comments »

Unusual Wedding Venues take us to some really interesting places… Some people I know are planning their weddings at the moment and to be honest it all seems like an awful lot of hard work to do something extremely similar to every other couple who have been married… It’s all white dresses, kilts, church (even though they are not religious in the slightest) hotel reception, cake and then a photo session before the whole wedding party gets drunk and falls over.

Why don’t people try to do something a bit different? Something a bit unusual perhaps, and try to stand out from the boring generic wedding situation.

So out of curiosity I did some research on weddings with a bit more bite!

The first one I researched was a Wild West Wedding or a Ranch Wedding I thought this might be fun. I found a place in Texas called the Red Corral Ranch who cater for traditional(ish) weddings and also proper cowboy/cowgirl weddings in a barn with a “finger lickin’ barbecue and a Hoe-Down”, now that sounds more fun than a sit down meal with a choice of chicken or fish!!

Red Corral Ranch is situated in central Texas near Austin, and from the pictures looks beautiful, with the clearest of clear sky’s and rolling hills all around and the accommodation looks amazing, probably better than any 4* Hotel you would get in any city. Think of the wedding photographs!!

As well as the Big Red Barn to get married in there is also the option of The Butterfly Garden in the grounds of the ranch which in spring/summer has millions of colourful butterflies flapping about like living confetti.

There is also is the “The Labyrinth” which is a wooden platform on the highest peak in the ranch looking over Wanslo Creek. The views are incredible. The Labyrinth was hand crafted by the son of the ranch owners and holds up to 60 guests seated for the ceremony and then back to the Celebration Hall (a Wooden Church) or The Big Red Barn for the reception/hoe-down!!

A word of warning though, this is maybe not the place for veggies as the barbecue would be a lot of red meat, red meat and more read meat. But the food looks amazing…

The wedding packages are pretty good, the main expense would be getting to Texas and accommodation.

For anyone who wants to get married wearing cowboy boots and a Stetson or the usual penguin suit and fairy princess dress… both are welcome.

Looks like a lot of fun icon smile Unusual Wedding Venues Get Married Texas Ranch Style
